Katelyn Lloyd, St. B's own Prime Minister and grade 12 student, was the winner of the Science, Engineering and Technology Day Essay Competition for 2018.
Her essay is published in the current Research Life Magazine from the University of Manitoba.
ResearchLIFE magazine is a publication of the Office of the Vice-President. It was launched in 2009 and is published twice annually.
The magazine highlights the quest for knowledge that artists, engineers, scholars, scientists and students at the University of Manitoba explore every day.
Katelyn attended SET (Science, Engineering & Technology) Day at the University of Manitoba last year and had the opportunity to participate in activities with the Faculty of Kinesiology and learn all about the UofM's research facilities and campus.
"We also had the opportunity to participate in an activity...our activity was in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. My friends and I had the benefit of taking a Kinesiology course earlier this year, so learning about the faculty was thrilling." - excerpt from Katelyn's essay.
Congratulations to Katelyn on her award and publication, St. B is very proud of you!
