The St Boniface Diocesan High School (SBDHS) 33rd annual science fair was blessed with the imaginative submissions from the grade 9 and 10 students. Seeing the many types of projects and styles of presentation reminded us how diverse our student population is.
On Tuesday April 24, 2018 the students did their last minute organizations, arrangements, and configurations to their projects for the fair. Each student got 15 minutes to shine, to showcase their hard work.
The judges for the science fair will have the hardest task bestowed upon them. Among the entirety of great projects, only one from each category of “Life Sciences,” “Physical Sciences,” and “Overall Best at the fair,” received trophies, and along with the students receiving medals and awards will be encouraged to represent SBDHS in the Manitoba School Science Symposium (MSSS).
We like to wish, congratulate, and present the following with a trophy: (category/project/students)
Best in Life Science: Acid vs Algae - J M Andrabado and Camile Caraan
Best in Physical Science: What Additives Increase the Strength of Concrete and By How Much? - Brain Nider
Best Overall at the Fair: What Additives Increase the Strength of Concrete and By How Much? - Brain Nider
We are confident that those students representing SBDHS will wow the judges and show them determined Centurion Spirit at MSSS. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
