Proudest moment at SBDHS

I am most proud of starting the Drama Club at SBDHS!

Best advice for a new student

Part of my time at SBDHS was very challenging since my brother, Mr. Holtman, was the principal- this added a whole new level to peer pressure! Although I didn’t realize it at the time, my approach to just being myself and believing I could accomplish anything I set out to do, helped me achieve everything I have done so far in life.

What are you up to now?

I am currently living in Dallas TX, which is nothing like Winnipeg and makes me long for my days back in ‘The Peg’. My work focuses on executive coaching, offering educational programs and facilitating meetings. As people learn more about my work they ask me to help them out in North America, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. I have written six books on leadership, one of them translated into Chinese and currently teaching the leadership program at Spotify. I am a co-founder, and Chair of the International Institute for Facilitation and a member of the UN Peace Coalition to help develop leaders for promoting peace.

My husband of 40 years and I love to camp, off the grid and in remote areas. We have three children and one grandchild. We thoroughly enjoy our time together as we live in both the US and Canada.
