Arts Classes and Events
Available for grades 9 - 12 with no experience necessary just the desire to sing! The more you sing, the more you learn and the more fun you have! We learn and sing in various styles of music in various events throughout the year including collaboration with other schools (St Paul's High School), singing in a mass choir in their spring concert and our very own Spring creative Arts Showcase.
Guitar classes are available for everyone including the beginners to experienced. Students will learn skills to play in ensemble, learning melody lines, play in parts, as well as playing chords (strumming and Picking) with a singer. Students also learn to write their own songs and perform their compositions.
Students from Grades 9 - 12 learn how to draw, paint, and create using many techniques and styles of art. Projects are highlighted in the Creative Arts Showcase events during the year and are displayed in the school throughout the year.
Held twice a year November and May, this event showcases the talents and skill developments of the choir, guitar, drama and dance classes in a fun-filled evening for all to enjoy. The next Arts Showcase event will be held May 15, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Holy Cross gymnasium.
