Loran Award
(formerly the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation)

Value: $1,500 - $2,500 (at the local/provincial level) for one year. National level scholarships can be worth nearly $76,500 over the course of four years. They include tuition, residence, meals, other costs and summer funding and mentorship. These awards are offered to students who combine academic achievement (minimum average of 80%) with character, leadership potential and a commitment to their community.

There are two types of scholarships:

1) Sponsored Applicant (School Nominated): The school can nominate up to three candidates. Students must return their completed Loran Scholarship Application Forms to Ms. Maffenbeier by deadline stated. Late applications will not be accepted by the Loran Foundation.

2) Direct Application: Students not nominated by the school may apply directly. Students must return their applications directly to CMSF by the deadline. Late applications will not be accepted by the CMSF.
